1. Tiered Coverage Periods

• 12-Month Limited Warranty (Materials & Finishes): For one (1) year from the date of delivery, we warrant against defects in materials, including wood stability (beyond natural movement), functional hardware (hinges/slides), and the integrity of the protective finish (peeling or bubbling).

• 5-Year Limited Warranty (Craftsmanship & Joinery): For five (5) years from the date of delivery, we warrant the structural integrity of the piece. This covers the failure of any joinery, glue bonds, or structural assemblies created in our shop.

2. Stains & Color Matching

While we strive for the closest possible match to customer-supplied samples, a 100% exact match is not guaranteed. Variation in grain density and wood species means that stain absorption will differ from piece to piece. Reasonable variations in color and shade are considered part of the unique character of custom woodwork.

3. Wood Movement & Environmental Conditions

Solid wood is a natural, "living" material that expands and contracts with seasonal changes in humidity.

• Expected Behavior: Minor seasonal gaps at joinery (such as breadboard ends) and small hairline "checks" are natural characteristics of solid wood and are not considered defects.

• Customer Responsibility: To maintain this warranty, the piece must be kept in a climate-controlled environment with a relative humidity between 35% and 55%.

• Exclusions: Damage caused by placement near high-heat sources (fireplaces, radiators), in direct constant sunlight, or in unconditioned spaces (porches/garages) is not covered.

4. General Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear (scratches, dents, or water rings from use).

• Damage from improper cleaning or the use of harsh chemicals/waxes.

• The natural "mellowing" or darkening of wood tones over time due to UV exposure.

5. Tiered Remedy & Service

If a covered defect is identified:

• Years 1–2: We will repair or replace the defective component at no cost for labor or materials.

• Years 3–5 (Craftsmanship only): We will provide the labor to repair structural joinery at no cost. The customer is responsible for any necessary material costs or transportation/shipping to and from our workshop.
